Seyran Ismayilkhanov

Seyran was born in Azerbaijan and first picked up the piano at the age of five. At the age of seven, he began violin lessons at the music school in Baku, and some time later he had his first singing lessons at the conservatory of the renowned singing teacher Sevda Mammadova.
Numerous performances worldwide, such as preliminary rounds of the Eurovision Song Contest, The Voice of Germany, Balkan Song Contest, Golden Melody, Five Stars Intervision, Türkvision and, last but not least, the self-produced shows Spirit of Caucasus and Ethnomystic have enriched his musical path.

Now comes the Deep-Emotions piano album and show by composer, singer, pianist, flutist and producer Seyran Ismayilkhanov!
“It all started with a piano…”, says Seyran! “I absolutely had to go back to my childhood and relive the beautiful innocent melodies. When I was five years old, I played many melodies from the radio, movies and TV series on my mother’s piano by ear, and then my own compositions followed, which I recorded with a dictaphone – and always with the background noise of my 13 budgerigars, who always wanted to be louder than me on the piano or violin. I am grateful that after many years, successes and experiences as a singer, songwriter and entertainer, I have returned to the piano and fulfilled my former dream. My album “Body – Mind – Soul” actually contains melodies from my childhood. I kept the old cassettes for 38 years, listened to them again before producing the album and recorded some of the tracks. Each melody has its own emotions and feelings and so each song bears the name of such an emotion, such as fear, sadness, joy, love, longing, happiness, … These are emotions that define us as human beings and that accompany us every day.”

The piano album will be presented live as a one-man show – with unusual costumes, light installations, the “new Seyran” and special guest musicians.
